packaging methods to prevent leakage.
Packaging
- Pack your seafood or fish to withstand a 48-hour domestic transit time and a
72-hour international transit time without refrigeration.
- Line the inside of the fiberboard box with a plastic bag at least 4 millimeters thick.
- Place a styrofoam box or fitted styrofoam panels inside the bag.
If using panels, place panels on the bottom and all four sides.
- Line an additional plastic bag inside the styrofoam box or over the panels.
- Set a pad that can absorb 4 liters of liquid in the bottom of the additional
plastic bag.
- Place your product and insulators or cooling agents on the absorbent pad inside
the additional plastic bag.
- Fold the top of the additional plastic bag over your product and seal lengthwise
with tape.
- Secure the styrofoam lid or top panel in place, then fold the top of the first plastic
